All American Renewed for its Eighth and Final Season

Fans are ecstatic ever since All American renewed for season eight on The CW.

The popular show will feature 13 more episodes to bring the entire show to a “powerful conclusion,” according to a press release.

When Will the Final Season Air?

Since All American renewed for its eighth season, when will the premiere date be? While no concrete date has been set, The CW says the episodes will air in 2026 and comprise 13 more episodes to tie everything together.

The news comes not long after the season seven finale on May 5th, which ended on quite a cliffhanger.

Plot For Season 8

The original plot for the show, premiering in 2018, follows Spencer James, a star high school football player from South Crenshaw High School. The young star transfers to Beverly Hills High after he’s recruited by the team’s coach, Billy Baker, and must continue to pursue his dreams.

For the eighth and final season, All American will focus on resolving the cliffhanger from season seven and bring generations of Crenshaw and Beverly together. It will also address the outcome of the championship game between Crenshaw and Beverly, and the unresolved relationships and struggles of a new generation of students.

A Beloved Series Says Goodbye

According to The CW, All American is the top entertainment program in primetime, especially popular with adults 18-49 and 25-54.

The series is also a top performer on the CW app. With this last season, it will accomplish what few other modern television series have done, with eight total seasons and 132 episodes.

Cast Sentiments About the Show’s End

There is a lot of love for All American from both the cast and the producers.

Showrunner and executive producer Nkechi Okoro Carrol said, “How do I condense into just a few words what would be the longest love letter to this show, the fans, the cast, crew, staff, and producers? …. It is so hard to say goodbye to the thing that you love, but we are so excited we get to do it in the way we envisioned with this final season.”

Brad Schwartz, President of The CW Network, also had some sentiments about the series. “

All American is one of the greatest CW shows of all time, and we are honored to bring it back for one final season to give fans a chance to say a meaningful goodbye to these inspiring characters and this incredible world.”
