Tim Allen will always be linked to Christmas after playing Santa Clause for decades, most recently doing so in the new Disney + miniseries “The Santa Clauses.” Thankfully for him, Christmas is a holiday that he loves, and he recently spoke out to reveal his favorite tradition that his family partakes in during this time of year.

Allen’s Favorite Christmas Tradition
Allen told Fox News that lighting his Christmas tree at home with his family is always his favorite part of the holiday. The 69 year-old former “Home Improvement” star joked that he feels “like Chevy Chase in a movie” when he finds that the bulbs on his Christmas lights have gone out.
“It’s unbelievable, but it frustrates me every year for the same thing,” he continued, adding that his family always ends up laughing at him when this happens.

Allen Loves To Give Back Over The Holidays
Giving back is another thing that Allen loves to do during the holidays, and his whole family gets in on this as well.
“Currently, I get to volunteer at a soup kitchen and have for years and years, and have so much fun with other comedians serving meals up,” he explained. “And it’s not blowing a charity horn, I’m just saying we have so much freaking fun.”
“Comics serving people, there’s nothing like it,” he continued. “I do it with my family, and we all enjoy it so much, and we just love being able to be asked to do it.”
Allen recently told the singer and talk show host Kelly Clarkson that “the heart of Christmas” is about giving to others.
“The heart of Christmas is about giving. Getting is what we’ve gotten used to … but the whole thing is about what it’s like to give,” he said. “Give as a father to his children. … It is so magic.”

Allen Puts The ‘Christ’ Back In Christmas With Miniseries
Before “The Santa Clauses” premiered last month, Allen spoke out to say that he was determined to put “Christ” back in Christmas with the miniseries, even if doing so would make liberals angry.
“It originally had a lot of otherworldly characters, and ghosts, and goblins. I said no, this is Christ-mas. Its Christ-mas. It literally is a religious holiday,” Allen told The Wrap.
“We don’t have to blow trumpets, but I do want you to acknowledge it,” he continued. “That’s what this is about. If you want to get into Santa Claus, you’re gonna have to go back to history, and it’s all about religion. It’s really wonderful. They took a chance, and we did it really well.”

Allen Gets Good News
Allen recently got good news when Disney + announced that it was renewing “The Santa Clauses” for a second season.
“This franchise has had a lasting impact for so many families, truly becoming part of their annual holiday traditions,” Disney Branded Television president Ayo Davis told Deadline.
“Bringing it back as a series has been a true gift, and I’m grateful to our producing partners at 20th Television and, of course, Tim Allen and team, that we have yet another reason to celebrate this holiday season,” she continued.

Given how “woke” Hollywood is these days, it’s rare to find a star who is as open about praising the religious side of Christmas as Allen is. If only we had more celebrities like him in the entertainment world today!
