Gary Sinise Is A Longtime Champion For America’s Veterans
The Forrest Gump star goes the extra mile to support our troops and our wounded warriors.
Sinise even once said that he “felt called by God” to support our troops during a religious ceremony after the September 11th terrorist attacks.
Since then, he founded the Gary Sinise Foundation that helps build homes for our wounded heroes.
The actor’s Lt. Dan Band also entertains the troops at USO shows and raises money for disabled veterans.
He also flew a group of WWII veterans and 40 high schoolers to New Orleans to visit the World War II Museum.
Sinise steps up for our troops and veterans in a way that far exceeds anyone else in Hollywood.
Gary Sinise Services Thanksgiving Dinner To Deployed Troops In Afghanistan
On Thanksgiving in 2016, Gary Sinise went to Afghanistan to serve our deployed troops Thanksgiving dinner.
These American heroes couldn’t be with their families, so Sinise went to them to show his appreciation for their sacrifices.
He didn’t have to do this. He certainly had every right to be home with his own family.
But Sinise is always looking for more ways to help our American heroes.

Sinise also puts his money where his mouth is. He’s provided 15 wounded veterans with homes in just 2016 alone. The homes are customized to accommodate their needs in order to make their lives more comfortable while helping them be independent.
A New Home For Wounded Warrior
In the video below, Sinise welcomed Luis Avila to his new home. Avila was badly injured in 2011.
His life has been significantly impacted by the injuries he received while serving our nation. Sinise provided this hero with a new home and the reaction from the Avila family and the community is priceless!
Appropriately, Avila got the keys to his new home on Veteran’s Day!
Gary Sinise always goes the extra mile. You won’t see other Hollywood types this committed to our troops and our veterans.
Share this if you stand with Gary Sinise in supporting the troops!
