‘The View’ Issues Major Warning To Audience After Heckler Calls Whoopi Goldberg An ‘Old Broad’

Yesterday, we reported that Whoopi Goldberg lost it on “The View” after a heckler slammed her as “old broad.” It has since been revealed that the next day, staffers on the ABC talk show issued a major warning to the audience off-camera.

‘The View’ Issues Warning After Heckler Calls Out Goldberg

An eyewitness told The Sun that before Thursday’s show went live, crowd warmer Regina DeCicco gave a warning to those in the audience.

“We are not going to shout out! We are going to cheer and have fun,” she allegedly said. 

Goldberg, 67, was noticeably absent from the show on the day after the heckling, with part-time host Ana Navarro and “The Bachelorette” star Rachel Lindsay filling in for her. They joined the regular panel of Joy Behar, Sara Haines, and Alyssa Farah Griffin. 

This came one day after Goldberg was stunned when she was blasted as an “old broad” by an audience member as she tried to open Wednesday’s show.

“Did you just call me an ‘old broad?’” she asked the heckler. 

“Did she?” an incredulous Behar asked, with Goldberg replying, “Yeah. She said: ‘Yo, broad,’ and I was like: ‘Hey.'”

“It is Wednesday, and I am an old broad and happy about it,” Goldberg continued.

“Because we always say, ‘what’s the alternative?” co-host Sunny Hostin said. 

“Yeah,” Goldberg responded. “The alternative is not attractive to any of us. We all want to be old broads and old dudes. You know?”

Goldberg’s Holocaust Scandal 

This comes at a stressful time for Goldberg, as calls are growing for her to be fired from “The View” after she doubled down on saying that the Holocaust wasn’t about race at the end of last month. 

“My best friend said, ‘Not for nothing is there no box on the census for the Jewish race. So that leads me to believe that we’re probably not a race,’” Goldberg told The Sunday Times of London.

Goldberg had been suspended from “The View” for two weeks earlier in the year for making similar Holocaust comments, and though she apologized at the time, her comments in December indicated that she had not really learned anything from the backlash. 

ABC Execs Allegedly Want Goldberg Gone

In the wake of this latest scandal, a source alleged to Radar Online that ABC executives have “grown tired of Whoopi’s constant on-air episodes and believe they are driving viewers away.” 

“Whoopi seems to be picking fights all the time. She makes things very toxic,” the insider claimed. “It’s clear she’s very unhappy. Everyone’s begging her to step aside for her sake and the sake of the show.”

The source went on to allege that Goldberg has become so stressed about work that it has taken a toll on her physical health.

“Her health has been suffering, and she always seems to be ready for a brawl,” the source stated. “It’s at the point where the constant fighting is literally killing her.”

Clearly, the heckler who called Goldberg an “old broad” hit a nerve that was so deep that “The View” producers felt like they needed to take action. Perhaps it’s time for Goldberg to cut her losses and leave “The View” before she embarrasses herself even further.
