Dolly Parton is a genuine person. She not only embraces her humble upbringing, but she celebrates it. And now she is celebrating her marriage of 50 years to her husband Carl.
They started out with nothing, but they have accomplished so much together. Even when fame and fortune came along, this pair stuck together. And Dolly recently revealed one of the secrets to their success: they RV together.
On Sunday, the country legend took to Facebook and posted an adorable photo of her in one of her and Carl’s first RVs. She said they travel around in the motor home every Sunday.
The couple also plans to renew their wedding vows in an elaborate wedding for their 50th anniversary. Dolly explains in the video below that they had a very modest wedding because they didn’t have any money at the time, but also because she had recently signed a record deal and the head of the label didn’t want her to get married for at least a year due to her career. So, the couple snuck off to Georgia to hide their nuptials and they are going to make up for it now! Watch the Country legend discuss their delayed plans below!
