But what is the new show about? And why should you care?
Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg star in the hit new comedy show inspired by their own experiences. The longtime friends, who founded their production company Point Grey Pictures in 2011, are co-creators of the show.
Rogen plays Matt Remick, a recently appointed studio head, who replaces Patty Leigh, played by Catherin O’Hara, after several of her Contential Studio films bomb.
In his new role, the cinephile wrestles with wanting to make good, artful movies that are financially successful to please the boss, played by Bryan Cranston, and the desperate-to-be-relevant marketing execute, played by Kathryn Hahn.

Rogen and Goldberg couldn’t help but joke with the studio executives involved during a showing at the Paramount Theater, with Goldberg saying “We are so appreciative that we got to make this show. And without you, our beloved studio executives, it never would have happened, or it totally would have happened with other execs at another company, but we wouldn’t like it them as much.”

The show is filled with star-studded guest cast, many of them playing themselves on the series, including Rebecca Hall, Zac Efron, Zack Snyder, Martin Scorsese, Steve Buscemi, Olivia Wilde, Adam Scott, Greta Lee, and many more.
Rogen also shared a spectacular moment when he met a Hollywood director on set. Rogen confesses “The set of the show was the first time I met Martin Scorsese, and we couldn’t believe he did it!” He goes on to say that he “worked hard to write roles we hoped were funny and that we hoped people would respond to, and all anyone wants is a good joke. That’s what we really learned. It’s very enticing to people to feel like they get to be funny.”
Seth Rogen’s new show, The Studio, will have 10 episodes, a new episode airing every Wednesday. You can watch The Studio on Apple TV+, which offers a seven-day free trial for users, and then $9.99 a month.
