Like the beloved, chart-topping Korean drama, Squid Game, which features 456 contestants doing various challenges for the hopes of $4.56 million, Squid Game: The Challenge is a non-lethal challenge that mimics the show.
Blending physical and mental challenges, players must form alliances, betray one another, and outlast their opponents in hopes of being the last one standing for the ultimate prize.
“There was no red light in our decision to green light Season 2 of Squid Game: The Challenge, the most ambitious unscripted show we’ve premiered at Netflix,” Brandon Riegg, Netflix VP of Nonfiction Series, said. “We’re so excited to continue the franchise of Squid Game with our team in Korea, and producers at Studio Lambert and The Garden for this epic competition series.”

Fans can expect to see the Squid Game: The Challenge season 2 premiere on November 4 for an all-new season of high-stakes games.
Contestants of season 2 have already been chosen are are likely underway with the challenges. While there has been no official casting released, it will be interesting to see if the show will follow along the lines of the original show by bringing back familiar faces to try their hand at the games once more.
But with that being said, what can you expect from Squid Game: The Challenge season 2? While no details have been given at the time, the structure will be the same, with recruiting 456 players in hopes of claiming a $4.56 million prize. As the first season of The Challenge has similar challenges that can be seen in the first season of Squid Game, we’re sure that the same will be said for the second season.

And don’t forget, after finishing the second season that will premiere on November 4, a third season is in the works for the high-stakes reality TV show.
