South Park has a reputation for going after anyone and you can now add Lebron James to that list thanks to his recent comments on China and Hong Kong.

The cult Comedy Central Show has taken brazen shots at public figures ranging from Justin Bieber to Pope Benedict XVI. On Wednesday night’s show, writers took aim at Vegans and NBA all-star Los Angeles Lakers power forward Lebron James.

The show spotlighted the outlandish and self-serving nature of the NBA player’s sympathetic comments towards China.

South Park “Apologizes” To China

South Park previously mocked Hollywood for bending its content and messaging to appease the Chinese government.

In typical tyrannical and authoritarian form, China responded by censoring South Park from the entire country.

Every mention of video clip of the hit show was removed from the Chinese internet. RELATED: 76ers Fans Kicked Out Of NBA Game For “Free Hong Kong” Support

South Park reacted to the Chinese censorship in a very American fashion. Creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone mocked Chinese President Xi in a non-apology apology.

So when Lebron James made comments attempting to silence criticism of China by NBA coaches and players, all eyes were on South Park to see if they would mock “King James.”

They only had a day or two to highlight the NBA star’s hypocrisy. RELATED: LeBron James’ Hong Kong Comments Spark Controversy, Fanning Flames With NBA, China, And Fans

In the “Let Them Eat Goo” episode, Cartman is leading a rebellion after the school cafeteria switched to fake meat. The Marsh’s cannibis farm is losing money after doing business with China so they decide to repurpose their product into vegan food.

Cartman gives a speech that mimics James’ rants about speaking out against the Chinese government which is putting a stranglehold on those seeking freedom in Hong Kong.

“We all talk about freedom of speech,” Cartman says about the vegan students. “Yes, we do have freedom of speech, but at times there are ramifications for the negative that can happen when you are not thinking about others and only thinking about yourself.”

The video below compares Cartman’s comments which very much mirrors Lebron’s massive faux pax.

Lebron Claims He’s Not Political

Lebron James is not used to being mocked yet South Park went right after him.

When Lebron left the Cleveland Cavaliers the first time, fans burned his jerseys in his home base of Northeastern Ohio. Outside of that, Lebron got a free pass for every stupid political comment he made.

No free passes this time, Lebron. Apparently someone had strong enough feelings about Lebron James’ China comments to take the liberty of updating his Wikipedia page:

After getting such backlash, James attempted to backpedal but he only dug his hole deeper.

James, who supported Hillary Clinton, had the nerve to call Trump supporters “uneducated” and verbally attacks President Trump on a regular basis.

Lebron is changing his tune, though. At least publicly. In the below tweeted video, Lebron says he’s just a basketball player and shouldn’t be commenting on politics.

What do you think? Do you buy Lebron’s change of heart?
