Hollywood star Sharon Stone of Basic Instinct and Casino fame defied the radical left to blast cancel culture this week, revealing why exactly she feels that it is “the stupidest thing” that she has “ever seen.” A seemingly sensitive topic for Stone after feeling compelled to defend Batman Begins actor Christian Bale during her recent appearance on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert”.

Sharon Stone Rips Cancel Culture

“Cancel culture is the stupidest thing I have ever seen happen,” Stone, 63, said emphatically while appearing on SiriusXM’s Just Jenny show.

“I think when people say things that they feel and mean, and it’s offensive to you, it’s a brilliant opportunity for everyone to learn and grow and understand each other,” Stone added.

“We all come from different ages, different cultures, different backgrounds, different things, and have had different experiences, different traumas, different upbringings, different parents, different religious backgrounds, different everything,” she said.

“Give people an opportunity to discuss things before you wipe out their entire person over a statement or a comment or a misunderstanding,” Stone continued. “Stop being so small. The world is bigger. People have done so much more than one sentence. Like grow up. Grow some empathy.”

Of course, this is the not the first time Stone has expressed her true feelings on the cancel culture movement.

Sharon Stone Defends Batman Himself, Christian Bale

Yahoo News reported that this comes days after Stone was asked by late night host Stephen Colbert if she’s ever had an outburst on a film set.

After saying she had not ever had one, she defended her former costar Christian Bale for his rumored outbursts.

“I would not say so much for myself, but I can certainly say that I see that with such, you know, brilliant actors,” Stone said. “Christian Bale, who completely transforms himself into someone else, whether he’s playing George Bush or whether he’s playing an anorexic or whether he’s playing an OCD, you know, stockbroker, he becomes a different person.”

“People, you know, want to get up in his business while he’s trying to completely transform into another person,” she added. “Then he’s like, ‘Get away from me!’ And then they want to criticize him for not being available to them. I find that a little bit … you know, maybe they should just grow up.”

Cancel Culture Must End

It seems that like many of us, Stone has had quite enough of snowflakes getting offended by everything and canceling people left and right.

At this point, there is no denying that cancel culture has gone way too far, and that it needs to come to an end.

Here’s hoping that more big name celebrities have the courage to speak out against it like Sharon Stone did.
