Sharon Osbourne stepped down from “The Talk” this week after she was hit with backlash for defending her friend Piers Morgan from accusations that he was racist simply for criticizing Meghan Markle.

New reports are coming in, however, indicating that Osbourne may have gotten the last laugh. It’s being reported that she exited “The Talk” with a payout of $5-10 MILLION!

Osbourne’s Massive Payout

“Sharon is walking away with a $5 to $10 million minimum payout and was able to spin that it was her decision [to leave the show],” a source told Page Six

Another insider added that Osbourne did not only walk away with the massive payout, she also left with the stipulation that she will be allowed to speak out without any legal recourse from CBS, the network that runs “The Talk.”

“Sharon will talk when she is ready,” this source said. “She still wants to give her side of the story. She has been on that show for 11 years and knows all the secrets.”

Osbourne Refused To Go Down Without A Fight

This comes a week after it was reported that Osbourne had hired top entertainment attorney Jeremiah Reynolds, and that she “wasn’t going down without a fight … She knows where all the bodies are buried.”

A source said that Osbourne’s attorneys had negotiated a soft statement about her departure with CBS that made it clear that she could continue working in television with other networks.

“Sharon Osbourne has decided to leave ‘The Talk,’” the statement released by CBS read. “The events of the March 10 broadcast were upsetting to everyone involved, including the audience watching at home.”

On the now-infamous episode, “The Talk” went off the rails as the panelists discussed Piers Morgan’s reaction to Meghan Markle’s tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Though the hosts admitted that Morgan had not actually said anything racist about Meghan, they felt that it was still racist for him to criticize her because he is white and she is a woman of color.

This did not sit well with Osbourne, who went to bat for her longtime friend.

Osbourne Will Be Laughing All The Way To The Bank

The cancel culture mob may have succeeded in getting her out the door at CBS. But, she really is getting the last laugh if her payout is anywhere close to what is being reported.

Good for Osbourne for not going down without a fight. And, unlike many victims of cancel culture, she’ll be laughing all the way to the bank.
