Loughlin Walks Red Carpet Again
People Magazine reported that Loughlin went to the DesignCare 2022 Gala to benefit the HollyRod Foundation in Los Angeles, California on Saturday night. This foundation, which was launched by actress Holly Robinson Peete and her former NFL player husband Rodney Peete, aims to help families with loved ones who have received a diagnosis of autism or Parkinson’s Disease.
Loughlin, 57, appeared happy at the event as she wore a long-sleeved blue dress and held a sparkly silver clutch. Check out photos from the red carpet in the video below.
This was her first time on a red carpet since she and her husband, the fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, were both arrested in March of 2019 for their involvement in the infamous college admissions scandal. They were accused of paying $500,000 in bribe money to have their two daughters admitted to the University of Southern California as members of the crew team, even though neither girl had ever rowed before.

Loughlin Goes To Prison
After being found guilty, Loughlin was sentenced to two months in jail, a $150,000 fine, and 150 hours of community service. Meanwhile, Giannulli was sentenced to five months in jail, a $250,000 fine, and 250 hours of community service.
Loughlin began her prison sentence in October of 2020, and she was released two months later at the end of December. Giannulli began his sentence in November of 2020, an was released in May of 2021.
A source told US Weekly in October of last year that Loughlin is eager to “put the past behind her.” This insider added that the former “Full House” actress “privately arranged to put two students through four years of college.”
“Lori’s trying to lead with love and kindness, and trying to make a difference in the lives of kids, in particular, who are in need of help,” another insider said back in March.

Loughlin’s Daughters Sound Off
Loughlin’s daughter Olivia Jade Giannulli opened up last year about how hard it was to see her mom take so much heat from the media during the scandal.
“Even though I also was getting dragged negatively, it didn’t nearly affect me as much as seeing mom having all this thrown on her,” Olivia said, according to Fox News. “She really took this whole thing on her back, solely. There are a lot of people that were in this case, and a lot of other parents, and I do not know one other person’s name.”
Olivia’s older sister Bella agreed with her.
“I think just the hardest part of this entire thing was watching how horrible, or reading or seeing, how horrible the media was to both you and mom,” she said.
Page Six reported that Loughlin’s last red carpet appearance prior to this one had been in February of 2019, when she and her daughters attended The Women’s Cancer Research Fund’s “An Unforgettable Evening” Gala in Beverly Hills, California. It’s safe to say that a lot has changed for her since then!
It remains to be seen whether or not Loughlin will be able to resume her once-successful career in Hollywood, or if she will be canceled for good. This red carpet indicates that Loughlin very much does want to return to the public eye, and it will be interesting to see how this works out for her.
