At the Women in the World Summit, Scarlett Johansson revealed why she is known as an actress rather than a political commentator. When asked about Ivanka Trump, Johansson’s response revealed that she didn’t know what she was talking about.
ScarJo, whose twin brother worked for President Obama, takes issue with the fact that Ivanka Trump doesn’t denounce her father publicly. She said that Ivanka can’t be an advocate without advocating publicly (against her father).
“It’s such an old-fashioned concept that to be this powerful woman, you can’t appear to be concerned with that someone’s going to think you’re ‘bitchy.’ I think powerful women often get concerned with this idea that they’re going to be seen in this unforgiving light,” the actress said. “Screw that! It’s so old-fashioned, and so uninspired and actually really cowardly.”
What a stupid thing to say! Ivanka realizes and accepts the fact that she isn’t the president of the United States! Did Scarlett’s brother publicly denounce Obama? Did she call him “cowardly” too? Of course not! She’s just looking to score cheap political points.
