“Here I am at 5 o’clock in the morning stuffing bread crumbs up a dead bird’s butt.” You just gotta love Roseanne.

That quote was taken from this hilarious Thanksgiving episode in Roseanne’s original television run.

Here are five reasons we’re thankful for Roseanne Barr:

Roseanne Portrayed How Many Real Middle-Class Americans Live

Part of the reason the original “Roseanne” television show was such a big hit in the late 1980s and 90s was that while so many sitcoms portrayed people living in New York City or the well-to-do, the Conners represented none of that.

The Conners lived in the blue-collar fictional town of “Lanford, Illinois” where husband Dan was in and out of work, both parents often struggled to put food on the table and raised a family to boot.

The show was a hit because so many Americans in “flyover country” could relate, compared to the television New York City and Los Angeles typically produced.

The “Roseanne” Reboot Stayed True to the Original

Why was the “Roseanne” reboot so popular? Because it stuck to the original formula.

Today’s working class is more pro-Donald Trump and Roseanne was sure to reflect that in the reboot.

Could politics have played a role in liberal elites trashing the show? Perish the thought.

“Roseanne” Was Barr’s Baby

After being kicked off her own show, Roseanne told Vice last month:

“I don’t keep in touch with anyone on the show. I’ve been removed from the process of my life’s work” Roseanne told VICE News. ”It’s like the worst thing they could have possibly done to me, was to fire me from my own show and let other people write my life story.”

But despite this, she has refused to lash out against her former co-stars and instead has taken the high road.

Former co-star John Goodman told VICE News, “She is missed, definitely. After that many years, it’s like a family.”

“The Conners” Just Doesn’t Work Without Roseanne

Tell Me Now’s James Conrad wrote last month, “ABC executives are undoubtedly in panic mode right now after ratings for their “Roseanne” spinoff  “The Conners” plummeted in just the second week of the show.

“Fox News reported that ratings for the show were down 25 percent from the premiere for episode two. While 10.5 million viewers tuned in to the premiere, just 7.9 tuned in to the second episode. It is believed that many people tuned in to the premiere only to see how Roseanne Barr’s beloved character of Roseanne Conner was killed off.”

“The premiere of “The Conners” itself was a massive letdown in ratings from the premiere of the “Roseanne” reboot in 2017, with 35% less viewers tuning in to the new sitcom.”

She Stays True to Her Beliefs

While she apologized for her tweet, Roseanne refuses to apologize for supporting Donald Trump.

No matter how much the liberal media has gone after her, she has not backed down one bit in her support of the president. Which makes her…

…just like the millions of regular, patriotic working-class Americans, the sort of which she portrayed on TV.

Maybe this is why ABC executives now admit they made a mistake in firing her?

Don’t let them get you down Roseanne, we still love you.
