Bears. Beets. Battlestar Galactica. Oh, and Jim and Dwight together again.
Rainn Wilson and John Krasinski, stars of the legendary show The Office, ran into each other backstage at CBS Mornings recently. Wilson posted a couple of images of the storyline rivals on his Instagram account.
Much like what they delivered fans of the show for nine seasons, they were all smiles.
“Look who I ran into behind the scenes at (CBS),” Wilson wrote.
He added, “Was amazing to see my incredibly talented, big-hearted brother from another (Scranton) life!”

Back Together Again?
Fans loved seeing Jim and Dwight together again. Many of them responded to Wilson’s post with quotes from the show.
“What kind of bear is best?” one person wrote.
Another used a line from The Office that explains the characters’ complex relationship: “Jim is my enemy. But it turns out that Jim is also his own worst enemy. And the enemy of my enemy is my friend. So Jim, is actually my friend.”
It turns out Wilson and Krasinski were at CBS Mornings to promote separate new projects.
As Wilson states on social media, Krasinski was there to promote his new movie, If. In the live-action/animated fantasy comedy, he lends his voice to “Marshmallow Man,” and he will also write and direct the film.
Wilson, coincidentally, was on site promoting his new podcast “Soul Bloom.”

The Office Spinoff
Wilson and Krasinski reuniting, if only briefly, comes as a spinoff series of The Office has been officially confirmed.
Peacock has officially ordered a new comedy mockumentary series set in the same universe as The Office. The series is being developed by Greg Daniels and Michael Koman, while Ricky Gervais will have a hand in it as an executive producer.
Domhnall Gleeson (Star Wars) and Sabrina Impacciatore (The White Lotus) have been announced as the lead actors for the project.
The series is set in the Midwest and focuses on the revival of a “dying historic Midwestern newspaper” with volunteer reporters.
Production is set to begin in July.
Krasinski, meanwhile, also posted an image of him and Wilson meeting up.
“I think I found my IF!” he wrote.
If only.
While The Office spinoff isn’t quite the same thing, we can always see Jim and Dwight in all their awesomeness by streaming reruns.
