Earlier this week, we reported that Priscilla Presley had finally reached a settlement with her granddaughter Riley Keough over the estate of her late daughter Lisa Marie, who died back in January at the age of 54.
Now, sources are saying that while negotiating this settlement, Priscilla shockingly asked to be buried next to her ex-husband Elvis Presley, who is buried between his parents at his Graceland estate in Memphis, Tennessee.

Priscilla Issues Burial Request
Sources told TMZ that while battling it out over Lisa Marie’s estate, Priscilla wanted more than just money, as she also wanted a burial spot next to Elvis. This was a shocking request, given the fact that it would mean moving the grave and body of at least one of his parents.
The insiders went on to say that this request was denied right away, and Priscilla immediately “backed down.”
“Although I don’t plan on going anywhere anytime soon,” Priscilla, 77, said in response to these claims. “It is my family’s and my wish for me to be laid to rest with my daughter and the love of my life when that time comes. We appreciate the love from all of the fans.”

Elvis’ Current Resting Place
Upon his death in 1977, Elvis was buried next to his mother Gladys Presley, who died at the age of 46 back in 1958. Elvis’ father Vernon Presley was buried on the other side of his son when he passed away in 1979 at the age of 63. It remains unclear which parent’s body Priscilla intended to move, should she have gotten her wish.

Despite divorcing Elvis in 1973, Priscilla has spent the decades since his death trying to further his legacy. Lisa Marie was the only child that she and Elvis shared, with Priscilla going on to have a son Navarone Garibaldi during a later romantic relationship.
Just two weeks after Lisa Marie died, Priscilla legally challenged her will, which gave all control of her Promenade Trust to Riley. Lisa Marie reportedly cut Priscilla out of her will back in 2016 for unknown reasons, instead giving everything to Riley and her brother Benjamin Keough, who sadly committed suicide in 2020 at the age of 27.

Priscilla Responds To SettlementÂ
Priscilla expressed her happiness at a settlement being reached earlier this week.
“My family has resolved all confusion as it relates to our plea to the court and request for document interpretation after my daughter Lisa Marie’s untimely passing,” Priscilla told Entertainment Tonight. “Although some media identified such a plea as a lawsuit, I want to make clear that there was never any lawsuit filed against my beloved granddaughter.”
“As a family, we are pleased that we resolved this together,” she continued. “My family and I hope that everyone will grant us the privacy we have needed to properly grieve Lisa Marie and spend personal time together. We love and appreciate all of you and the Presley family is stronger than ever.”

Priscilla’s attorney added that, “All parties have reached a settlement and the families are happy. They are very excited for the future.”
While we’re glad that a settlement was reached here, we’re also glad that Priscilla’s burial request was denied. Elvis has been resting peacefully between his parents for decades, and one can’t help but think that that’s exactly where he belongs for eternity.
