Priscilla Presley has officially reached a settlement with her granddaughter Riley Keough in their legal battle over the estate of Lisa Marie Presley, who died suddenly back in January at the age of 54.

Priscilla And Riley Reach Settlement

It was confirmed on Tuesday that Priscilla, 77, and Riley, 33, had reached a settlement in a Los Angeles probate court.

“Priscilla is happy,” her attorney Ronson Shamoun told Daily Mail. “The families are happy and unified and together and excited for the future.”

When asked if Riley was also happy with the settlement, her attorney Justin Gold replied, “She would not have agreed to the settlement if she was not happy with it.”

It is unclear at this time what their specific settlement is.

Priscilla’s Legal Challenge

Just two weeks after Lisa Marie died, Priscilla legally challenged her will, which gave all control of her Promenade Trust to Riley. Lisa Marie reportedly cut Priscilla out of her will back in 2016 for unknown reasons. Though Riley was said to be livid about what Priscilla was doing, she didn’t file an objection to the challenge.

“Priscilla doesn’t want Riley solely in charge, because then she has no say,” a family insider told People Magazine back in March. “Meanwhile, Riley doesn’t want Priscilla to butt in.”

A source close to Riley added, “It’s a very sad situation. Riley is shocked Priscilla is contesting the amendment.”

Joel Weinshanker, a managing partner at Elvis Presley Enterprises, has claimed that Lisa Marie was “very, very quite certain and quite direct about who she wanted to have the legacy [left] to.”

“That was always Riley and Ben,” he explained. “There was never a question in her mind that they would be the stewards, that they would look at it exactly the way she did. Obviously, when Ben passed, it really sat with Riley. Although Riley is a movie star, she’s an award-winning director, she had always had an interest and had always known that one day, she would be in charge of [things].”

Sources Claimed Priscilla And Riley Not Speaking

Sources close to the situation claimed that Priscilla and Riley were no longer on speaking terms after the legal challenge.

“It has been a very tense and heartbreaking few weeks for both Riley and Priscilla,” a source told Entertainment Tonight. “Riley has been mourning the loss of her mother and is heartbroken to have to deal with a trust dispute with a family member. Priscilla is adamant that she has a valid case and that she will prevail in court. Riley and Priscilla aren’t communicating at this time, but have been in communication through lawyers.”

The insider went on to say that “they are both gearing up for court, Riley would prefer to settle this dispute privately.”

“She is heartbroken that this has turned into a public matter and knows her mother would never want this,” the source continued. “Riley is very stressed at the moment and has been trying to keep a positive attitude and outlook ahead of her new series coming out. Her daughter and husband have been keeping her in good spirits.”

The source is referring to Riley’s “Daisy Jones & The Six,” which she stars in on Amazon Prime. Riley is a 33 year-old Hollywood actress who has been nominated for a Golden Globe in the past.

The source concluded by saying that Priscilla believes that she “is right in her heart,” when it comes to Lisa Marie’s trust.

“She is convinced that old documents had been forged,” the source said.

We can only hope that Priscilla and Riley are able to put this dispute behind them and create a close relationship again. Only time will tell if they’re able to do that!
