Pepé Le Pew is the latest victim of cancel culture. We’ve learned that he’s been given the boot from Space Jam: A New Legacy with LeBron James.
Pepé Le Pew And Penelope
Pepé Le Pew, a Looney Tunes character, has been around for generations.

Because he is a cartoon character, children didn’t view Pepé as a role model.

Rather, he was the complete opposite of that. He was pushy, chauvinistic, and handsy with Penelope the cat.
He was an unlikeable fool who made us laugh.
Pepé served as a learning experience. He was an abject failure. But, today’s cancel culture doesn’t give exemptions even for childhood lessons.
First, the Looney Tunes characters are obviously not designed as role models.
They behave in the most insane, stupid, obsessive & reprehensible manner.
Their flawed nature is why it’s morally acceptable and so regressively funny to see them fail miserably over & over. pic.twitter.com/mrnaWhPjv0

“Space Jam” With LeBron James
The movie Pepé was cut from is a sequel to Space Jam that starred Michael Jordan.
This update will include NBA star and social justice warrior LeBron James.
The scene in question was shot in June 2019.
From The Los Angeles Times:
The footage that bit the dust had the animated Le Pew smooching and slobbering all over — and being rebuffed by — a live-action woman at a bar styled after Rick’s Cafe in “Casablanca,” according to Deadline, which reported the following details from the axed scene:
“Pepé, playing a bartender, starts hitting on a woman at the bar played by [Greice] Santo,” the outlet said Sunday. “He begins kissing her arm, which she pulls back, then slamming Pepé into the chair next to hers. She then pours her drink on Pepé, and slaps him hard, sending him spinning in a stool, which is then stopped by LeBron James’ hand.”
In the cut footage, Le Pew also reportedly mentioned a restraining order obtained by Penelope Pussycat, the usual object of his desires, and James informs the skunk that he can’t grab other Looney Tunes characters without their consent. It all sounds like it would have been a firm message against sexual harassment and sexual assault.
A solid lesson was lost when Pepé was left on the cutting room floor.

It’s hard to imagine a child seeing the cartoon skunk as a role model.
He is the butt of the joke.
Pepé the pew is a skunk: he literally stinks.
They couldn’t design a more obvious signal. As a skunk, well he’s completely unaware of his own smell – when others faint or flee in horror, it’s always a mystery to him. pic.twitter.com/ehvctSjTCh

Larry The Cable Guy Takes On Cancel Culture
Larry the Cable Guy weighed in on the “cancel culture nonsense” regarding Pepé being booted from the “Space Jam” sequel.
He tweeted that we need to say no to this “commie stupidity.
“The controversial French skunk.” Lol??. These cancel morons literally have mental problems. Push back folks. Seriously, we’re neck deep in commie stupidity. Just say no to thugs. “Controversial French skunk” ??♂️. ??. Absolute moronic insanity. PUSH BACK! pic.twitter.com/LmMofJLlfL

Larry doubled down by tweeting again. “If A horny skunk offends you you don’t watch the damn thing,” he said in the tweet below.
If a horny skunk offends you don’t watch the damn thing. The fact I even have to write the phrase “if a horny skunk offends you” shows what an actual cartoon country were becoming. pic.twitter.com/TIKR73777i

Larry is right.
We are becoming a cartoon country.
