Olivia Newton-John still has the same upbeat attitude she had as Sandy in Grease. Her recent cancer diagnosis isn’t getting the best of her. Her husband shared some very good news with her fans.
Newton-John released the following statement to PEOPLE magazine:
“I am really grateful for and touched by the worldwide outpouring of love and concern. Thank you. I am feeling good and enjoying total support from my family and friends, along with a team of wellness and medical practitioners both here in the US and at my Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness and Research Centre in Melbourne, Australia. I’m totally confident that my new journey will have a positive success story to inspire others! Love and light, Olivia.”
Olivia is having her husband John Easterline update the press and her fans as she goes through photon radiation therapy supplemented with additional natural wellness therapies.
“We both have the same unshakable belief that she’s going to have a wonderful success story,” her husband told People Magazine. “We’re not trying to be positive. We have an absolute knowingness that we can turn this around.”
Easterling said Olivia’s pain level has gone from an 8 to a 2 with just one week of treatment. The couple is entirely optimistic about the singer’s fight with cancer.
