The damage in Nashville from a direct hit by a tornado overnight is astounding. At least 19 people lost their lives to this beast of a storm. Some of Country Music’s biggest stars are praying for their beloved Music City and finding ways to help those affected.
Storms left many homes and buildings without power not just in downtown Nashville, but also throughout several counties in the area. In the city, dozens of buildings were destroyed. The Germantown area of the city took a big hit that ripped apart office buildings and apartment complexes.
Tornadoes were reported at least three different times along a 145-mile stretch. Monday night was a terrifying time for people in central Tennessee.

Dierks Bentley showed a daunting video of the storm cell entering the city.
We ducked around this cell and landed at john tune airport around 11:30 last night. Glad we landed when we did. Wouldn’t have been good an hour later. It was the cell that turned into the tornado. Lot of people lost their homes. No one comes together as a city like Nashville does pic.twitter.com/qvCjrYNu0x
