Zoe Sozo Bethel, a Christian beauty Queen who was crowned Miss Alabama for America Strong in 2021 and was known for her conservative views, died on Friday. The 27-year-old beauty queen died after suffering from brain injuries she sustained when she fell from a seven-story building in Miami. She was only 27 years old.

Bethel Passes Away

Daily Mail reported that Bethel’s family would only say that she was involved in an accident on February 10, though they did not give further details about what exactly this accident was.  However, police officers believe she tried to commit suicide.

“Our beloved Zoe Sozo Bethel passed from this life into the next as a result of succumbing to her injuries,” her family said in a statement.

Bethel had represented Alabama in the Miss America for America Strong pageant, which is a pageant that honors single women. She also worked as a commentator for the conservative media company RBSN, which is most known for covering rallies led by the former President Donald Trump.

“Zoe touched the hearts of many people,” her family said. They had previously revealed on February 14 that “unfortunately the doctors are saying the damage cannot be repaired & that she may not have much time left.”

Bethel had been active in working with Project Veritas  which strives to show the blatant liberal bias in the media. She was also active with the anti-abortion group Students for Life. Abortion was an issue that was known to be a personal one for Bethel.

“I decided to choose life over terminating the innocent life God blessed me with (My daughter),” she once said. “No matter how bad the situation may be, choosing LIFE is always the right choice.”

Bethel’s family has set up a GoFundMe page to help pay for her funeral costs, and it already raised over $45,000 at the time of this writing.

Bethel is the second beauty queen to die at a young age in a matter of weeks, as this comes one month after the former Miss USA Cheslie Kryst, 30, committed suicide by leaping to her death from a high rise in New York City. It’s horrifyingly sad to see another beautiful young life snuffed out way too soon.
