Actress Mia Farrow is confused after watching the third night of the Republican National Convention. She doesn’t understand how someone can be a civil rights hero and a Republican. She believes Clarence Henderson loses his hero status simply because he spoke at the RNC. 

Clarence Henderson Participated in 1960s Woolworth Sit-Ins

Henderson, who is Black, participated in the 1960 sit-ins at the Woolworth Department Store in Greensboro, North Carolina. These protests went on for five months. Henderson put his life on the line during the civil right fights of the 60s.

“My friends had been denied service the day before because of the color of their skin. We knew it wasn’t right. But when we went back the next day, I didn’t know whether I was going to come out in a vertical or prone position — in handcuffs or on a stretcher, or even in a body bag,” Henderson said in his RNC address.

He then went on to list President Trump’s civil rights achievements. Clarence believes the President’s policies have been positive for Black Americans.

His policies show his heart,” Henderson stated.

“Donald Trump is offering real and lasting change … a country that embraces the spirit of the civil rights movement of the ‘60s, a place where people are judged by the content of their character, their talents and abilities, not by the color of their skin,” he said in his speech that you can listen to below. “This is the America I was fighting for 60 years ago. This is the America Donald Trump is fighting for today.”

Clarence Henderson shouldn’t have to explain himself and his political leanings to anyone.

But, Mia Farrow just doesn’t agree. The white liberal actress doesn’t understand how a Black civil rights activist is permitted to think differently than she does.

The “Rosemary’s Baby” actress tweeted,”How can Clarence Henderson, billed as a “civil rights pioneer’ say these things. WHY?”

The pasty white former wife of Frank Sinatra and Woody Allen feels the need to question the credentials of a man who protested during the Civil Rights Movement.

Even though pictures show Clarence Henderson was there, Mia Farrow believes he should be stripped of his hero status because he is a Republican.

She’s judging him by the color of his skin. Maybe this elite actress needs to take a history lesson about another Republican – Martin Luther King, Jr.
