Loretta Lynn still isn’t back on her feet after suffering a stroke last year. The 85 year old country legend was to be on tour this summer, but a recent announcement will have some fans waiting longer to see The Coal Miner’s Daughter.
Loretta’s shows in Des Moines and Dubuque, Iowa next month have been canceled. Dubuque’s Five Flags Center expects the show to be rescheduled sometime next year.
It has been a while since there has been an update on Loretta’s health. We do know that she was recovering in a rehabilitation center. The octogenarian was looking forward to this tour and connecting with her fans, but her focus must be on her health at this time.
Loretta is a persistent woman. She loves her family and she loves performing. You can enjoy her 1971 performance of “Coal Miner’s Daughter” in the video below.
Loretta certainly can use our prayers as she recovers from this stroke. Her sister Crystal Gayle asked for continued prayers last month. Hopefully she can return home soon!
