Joy Behar dropped a bomb on a recent episode of the ABC talk show “The View,” when she revealed how she “almost died” back in 1979.
Joy Behar say's that if Roe v Wade is overturned (as it should be), then women should go on a "sex strike". Leave it to Joy to come up with a humane way to end abortions!😂 pic.twitter.com/5S2pCdSZT3

‘I Almost Died’
Page Six reported that during a segment discussing abortion bans with her co-hosts, Behar recounted having an ectopic pregnancy in 1979.
“I almost died,” the 79-year-old television personality said.
Behar explained that ectopic pregnancy occurs when an embryo “is growing in the fallopian tube,” adding that it can “grow just enough to make the tube burst [and] … you bleed internally, and then you die.”
She then recalled being “rushed to the hospital” during her own experience with it.
“The doctor the next day said, ‘We almost lost you,’” she remembered. “I was in the situation where I could go to Beth Israel Hospital, and they took care of it there.”
Behar then clarified to her conservative guest co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck that this was “not a miscarriage” and “not an abortion.”

Behar Attacks Republicans
Unsurprisingly, Behar quickly shifted to using this experience to slam the overturn of Roe v. Wade and blast Republicans who support it.
“One of the things that I worry about is you know, people like Herschel Walker who’s running, he supports abortion bans without any exceptions for rape, incest, or the health of the mother,” she said, according to Daily Mail, Walker is a former NFL player and current Republican Georgia senatorial candidate who supports total abortion bans with no exceptions, even for medical emergencies.
“The fetus is growing in the fallopian tube, and there is nowhere to go from that,” Behar said. “You can’t give birth from your fallopian tube, and the fetus will not grow.”
(Since Behar says she almost died, it seems like Walker would say that’s covered under “the health of the mother” exception that Behar mentioned.)

Behar’s Daughter
Behar is the mother of a 51-year-old daughter named Eve, who works as a ceramic artist. Behar revealed earlier this year that she had tried to convince Eve to go into a career in television, but she wasn’t having it.
“I figure, why not use nepotism? Everyone else does,” Joy joked in an episode of the ABC talk show that aired in January. “But she said ‘No, I don’t like it.’”
Behar then said that Eve has always been “very independent,” even as a kid.
“She would just not want to wear pants [as a kid] when it was 2 degrees outside!” Behar explained. “I gave her double leotards and a skirt and that’s how she wanted to be.”
Behar shares Eve with her ex-husband Joe Behar, to whom she was married from 1965 until 1981. She’s been married to Steve Janowitz since 2011, though they dated for nearly thirty years before that.

Behar’s Liberal Views
Behar is known for being extremely liberal, and she has been losing her mind ever since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, handing the issue of abortion back to the states earlier this year. Despite the fact that she is turning 80 later this year, Behar has no plans to slow down when it comes to speaking her mind.
“I just say what I say,” she told Time Magazine last month. “And then they’re upset with me. I’m their favorite target over at Breitbart and Fox.”
Sadly, it looks like we’re all going to need to put up with Behar spewing her liberal propaganda for a long time to come.
