Joy Behar Comes Unglued While Talking About Her Husband – ‘Keep Your Mouth Shut!’

Things got weird on the ABC talk show “The View” once again on a recent episode when Joy Behar came unglued as she talked about her husband Steve Janowitz, who she married in 2011 after 29 years of dating.

The Sun reported that Behar was leading a discussion about Ayesha Curry recently revealing that she tries to physically compete with her husband Steph Curry, who plays in the NBA. 

“When couples try to lose weight together it can be a recipe for disaster,” Behar said, before asking her co-hosts, “So do you compete with your husbands like this? I don’t!”

“Al has been incredibly athletic his entire life, is still athletic, goes to the gym every day, I mean he’s just really fit, obviously, I am not!” co-host Ana Navarro replied, referring to her husband Al Cárdenas. “Which is why instead, I play around with my best friend!”

“I just know that when I tell my husband I’m going on a diet, I say that, ‘I’m gonna lose some weight,’ I tell him,” Behar responded. “Okay, so now we go out to eat and I order the French fries.”

“On the diet?” co-host Sunny Hostin interjected, but Behar ignored her. 

“And he has the audacity to say to me, ‘I thought you were on a diet?’ It’s like ‘no, keep your mouth shut!'” Behar continued.

The entire panel laughed at this as Behar added, “Just because I say I’m on a diet, doesn’t mean I’m on a diet!”

Behar’s Romantic History

Behar was previously married to Joseph Behar from 1965 until 1981, and she had one daughter with him during their marriage. While she began dating Janowitz in 1982, it wasn’t until 2011 that they finally tied the knot. 

“I waited until all the parents were dead,” Behar once said of why she waited nearly thirty years to marry Janowitz, according to Closer Weekly. “So I have no in-laws at all. He has none and I have none. ‘Cause marriage is mostly about in-laws, I find. They always want you to visit them and come for lasagna.”

In another interview, Behar explained, “I needed to be single after being married. I loved having my own place.”

“I used to say, ‘I want a man in my life but not in my house,'” she continued, according to Cheat Sheet. “And so I had 20 years like that. Then in 2002, he moved in, and we got married in 2011, so look at that!”

Behar Met Janowitz At Nudist Colony

Behar revealed on one episode of “The View” that she met Janowitz at a nudist colony, according to The Sun.

“He was all the way on the other side of this place — and it was like an adult place,” she continued. “He was far away naked. And then at night, there was a movie playing, and then I saw him fully dressed.”
