The country music star John Rich took to social media on Tuesday to claim that he has been “blackballed” by the country music world for his conservative views. Despite this, however, he’s refusing to back down.

Rich Sounds Off

“Even though I’ve been blackballed by Music Row, lobbyists for the liberal country music industry are hitting me up to lean on conservative members of Congress to push legislation that helps big music companies,” Rich tweeted. “What was my answer? GO KICK ROCKS.”

“#LetsGoBrandon,” he added.

Rich got lots of support for his tweet, with one particularly touching response coming from the the non-profit organization Code Of Vets

“Charlie Daniels would be so proud of you,” the organization tweeted. “You are filling in the gap. We miss his voice. His wisdom, leadership and his love of God and country. Thank you!”

“#RIPCharlie,” it continued.

Rich has long been one of the few people in the entertainment world to be open about his conservative political views. Last year, he took to Twitter to say that other country music stars have privately told him that they’ve been “muzzled” by the industry.

“The list of country artists calling me is growing by the day who are saying they’re being ‘muzzled’ by the industry when it comes to them expressing their frustration and anger about the targeting of conservatives, and suppression of free speech by the powers that be. #BlackBall,” he said.

Rich’s Anti-Woke Song ‘Progress’

Earlier this year, Rich scored a major hit with his non-woke song “Progress,” which you can check out in the video below.

“I wrote it because I’m so frustrated with everything going on, like everybody,” Rich explained to Fox News. “But the irony struck me so hard that all these things happening to our country right now are being done under the banner of progress, of that word. I’m like, this is what you call progress? And you look on the news and you see all the terrible things happening, and this is progress to them, to the people that are doing it.”

“I thought, okay, this deserves a song,” he added. “So I set out and wrote the song, ‘Stick your progress where the sun don’t shine’. ‘Keep your big mess away from me and mine’. ‘If you’d leave us alone, well, we’d all be just fine’. ‘So stick your progress where the sun don’t shine.’ And I put it out and I thought, well, I hope people like it. I look up and they go, hey John, you might want to check the chart. You’re at number one. You just knocked Lizzo out of number one. It’s pretty crazy.”

Rich On Twitter And Trump

Earlier this month, Rich responded to Elon Musk allowing the former President Donald Trump to come back to Twitter one year after he was suspended following the Capitol riot.

“I predict if Trump comes back to @twitter he will only tweet once, and it will be: ‘You can follow me on Truth Social!'” Rich wrote.

Rich is a true patriot, and millions of Americans share his conservative political views. We can only hope that he is not really “blackballed” by the country music world, because his voice is needed now more than ever!
