The Hollywood star Jeff Goldblum is speaking out this week to cheekily apologize for a shirtless pose he gave in the 1993 movie Jurassic Park.

Goldblum’s Apology

Movie Web reported that in the scene, Goldblum’s character of Ian Malcolm can be seen positing without a shirt on after he narrowly avoiding being eaten by a T-Rex dinosaur.

“I don’t remember how it came to be,” Goldblum said with a laugh when he was asked about the scene. “I have no idea.… It just happened somehow. I’m sorry, for better or worse. I apologize profusely. Or…you’re welcome?”

Goldblum On His Children

USA Today reported that Goldblum is the father of two little boys with dancer Emilie Livingston: Charlie, 7, and River, 5. He said that due partly to COVID-19, his sons “have never seen a movie in a movie theater.”

“But I’ve already promised that this is going to be the first movie that we take them to. I can’t wait,” he added.

Goldblum and the rest of the cast of the original Jurassic Park are set to reunite for the new movie Jurassic World Dominion, which was directed by Colin Trevorrow and is set to hit theaters on June 10, according to Yahoo News.

“We totally fell back into step,” Goldblum told People Magazine of the film’s cast, which also features Laura Dern and Sam Niell. He went on to describe them as “two of the great human beings on this planet.”

“We had such a close experience on the first one, and they’re of course two of the greatest actors of our time in the world. And so I loved it,” Goldblum continued. “We’ve stayed in touch over the years, but that was so exciting.”

‘It Was Incredible To Be Back Together’

Dern also spoke out to say that she feels the same way.

“I can say that it was incredible to be back together,” she stated. “It was an amazing thing to join my original cast members and go down memory lane, from that experience in the beginning of a franchise through the whole course of these films together with all the key cast members who have been working on these movies, as well as [director] Colin Trevorrow and Steven Spielberg, who is like family to me.”

Goldblum even brought his two young sons to the film’s set in the United Kingdom during filming.

“They met the people working on, painting, sculpting and doing the mechanics of [the dinosaurs],” he said of his “excited” boys. “They worked a couple of things, pushed a couple of buttons.”
