Last month, we reported that singer Maren Morris had been feuding with country music star Jason Aldean and his wife Brittany over their conservative views. Now, a clip has gone viral showing that Aldean’s fans have his back, and they aren’t afraid to let Morris know exactly what they think of her.

Morris Booed At Aldean Concert

Daily Mail reported that when Aldean mentioned Morris during a concert in Nashville, Tennessee, his fans responded by booing her. Check out that moment for yourself below.

Aldean brought up Morris as he teased the crowd about the identity of a mystery performer who would be joining him onstage.

“Asked some friends to come out tonight to make the show extra special,” he began. “I thought, man, who could I call? I got some friends in town. I could call Luke Bryan. I could call Kane Brown. See if Kenny Chesney’s here and not at the beach.”

“Maren Morris,” Aldean then said as the crowd began booing as soon as they heard her name.

The identity of the mystery singer ended up being Morgan Wallen, who Aldean stood by after he was caught saying a racial slur last year. Leftwing entertainers like Morris tried to “cancel” Wallen for this, but Aldean and others continued to support him. It appears that his career has not been negatively impacted by the scandal.

Feud Between Morris And Aldeans

The feud between Morris and Aldean stems from her reaction to a video that his wife made over the summer.

“I’d really like to thank my parents for not changing my gender when I went through my tomboy phase. I love this girly life,” she said in a video posted to Instagram that has since been deleted and showed her putting on makeup.

Many would think that there’s absolutely nothing wrong with Brittany embracing the gender she was born with in this way, and for defending the rights of parents to not change their children’s gender.

However, it was enough to have Brittany labeled transphobic by “woke” country music stars like Morris and Cassadee Pope.

“You’d think celebs with beauty brands would see the positives in including LGBTQ+ people in their messaging,” Pope wrote on Twitter in response to the video. “But instead here we are, hearing someone compare their ‘tomboy phase’ to someone wanting to transition. Real nice.”

Morris chimed in to add, “It’s so easy to, like, not be a scumbag human? Sell your clip-ins and zip it, Insurrection Barbie.”

Aldean defended his wife by commenting “MY Barbie” when Pope also called her “Insurrection Barbie” on another post, indicating that he stands with her.

Both Aldean and Brittany have been open about their conservative views, even ringing in 2022 at Mar-A-Lago with former President Donald Trump.

Ryan Hurd, who is married to Morris, praised her for feuding with the Aldeans.

“Scoring quick points by picking on trans kids isn’t something that is brave at all,” he said. “I’m proud of Maren for sticking up for them. Badge of honor to have CO engage in completely normal discourse, too. Shut up and sing only applies to those who you disagree with.”

Brittany Stands Her Ground

One week after the feud erupted, Aldean was dropped by his Nashville-based publicity firm The GreenRoom. Despite this, Brittany refused to back down, telling Fox News host Tucker Carlson that the backlash she received from people like Morris left her “extremely surprised.”

“I never thought that there was anything wrong with [my statement],” she said. “I think I’m advocating for children. … I think when you’re older, if you choose to make those decisions, by all means. But children are too young, not mature enough to make those decisions.”

Is Morris Too Afraid To Face The Aldeans At The CMAs?

While Morris talks tough when she’s behind a keyboard, she sings an entirely different tune when it comes to the prospect of seeing the Aldeans face-to-face.

She told the Los Angeles Times last month that she doesn’t “feel comfortable” attending the CMAs later this year because of her feud with the couple.

“I’m very honored that my record is nominated. But I don’t know if I feel [at] home there right now,” she said. â€śSo many people I love will be in that room, and maybe I’ll make a game-time decision and go.”

“I don’t feel comfortable going,” she added. “Some nights are fun. Others I’m just crawling out of my skin. I’m not good at those events because I’m awkward. But this time I kind of feel peaceful at the notion of not going.”

Judging by the reaction Aldean’s fans showed to even hearing Morris’ name, she might be right in thinking she’s not as welcome at the CMAs as he and his wife are in the eyes of fans.
