Last night, former “Empire” star Jussie Smollett was found guilty of felony disorderly conduct for staging a fake hate crime against himself in January of 2019. In the wake of his guilty verdict, the various Hollywood elite who pushed his hate crime hoax as a way to shame former President Donald Trump and his supporters are notably silent.

Celebrities Defend Jussie Smollett

“We have a media that says it’s a debate that whether or not what happened to Jussie Smollett is a hate crime. It’s absurd. It’s not a f***ing debate,” actress Ellen Page, who has since transitioned to Elliot Page, said in a 2019 interview with late night host Stephen Colbert.

Clearly, it was in fact a debate.

Academy Award-winning actress Viola Davis called on America to “take this racist and homophobic act of violence very personally.”

“The Office” star Mindy Kaling responded to Smollett’s hoax by claiming that this kind of hate crime is common in America.

“I am disgusted and horrified to hear of the homophobic and racial attack on Jussie Smollett last night. Unfortunately, these hateful attacks happen way too often,” she tweeted. “We must call out and hold those accountable. Sending love to you, Jussie.”

Even Cher got in on the action with one of her typical nonsensical tweets in which she ranted about “VILLAINY, RACISM, HOMOPHOBIA.”

Smollett, who is black and gay, had claimed back in January of 2019 that he was jumped by two men who shouted racist and homophobic slurs at him while also screaming “this is MAGA country.”

After investigating his claims, however, Chicago police concluded that Smollett had paid two men to attack him in the hopes of garnering himself more publicity that would land him a higher salary on “Empire.”

Celebrities Stood By Jussie Smollett Even As Evidence Mounted

Even as evidence mounted that Smollett was lying, many Hollywood stars continued to stand by him.

“If that man staged his own attack he is wrong in so many ways,” former “Charmed” actress Alyssa Milano tweeted in February of 2019. “No one could be that hurtful? To stage this? Right? To f*** with all of us by playing into our weaknesses & make it even harder for victims to come forward?! No one could choose to be that hurtful? Right?! RIGHT?”

“Until I can see some definitive proof–which I haven’t seen yet–then, you know, I gotta go with him until I see otherwise,” Queen Latifah told Yahoo News in March of 2019.

So where is Alyssa Milano’s public declaration of outrage – or even disappointment – upon learning the verdict? A verdict confirming that someone could indeed be that “hurtful” and “stage” something like this.

Is the evidence presented or even the jury’s verdict “definitive proof” enough for Queen Latifah?

The silence from these Hollywood celebrities in the wake of Jussie Smollett being found guilty is deafening.

One might think they would apologize for not only buying into but proliferating the spread of his fake narrative. Not to mention using the staged hate crime as a bullhorn to shame America and the millions of conservatives who love this country.

But instead, they’re silent. Presumably biding their time until there’s a new popular leftwing, anti-American narrative to champion..

The hypocrisy of the left never ceases to amaze.
