Once again, actress and activist Jane Fonda is sitting in D.C. jail. The “Grace and Frankie” star was arrested for the second time just this month for protesting a ‘climate crisis’. And just prior to her arrest, Jane Fonda was trumpeting AOC’s Green New Deal.
Climate Crisis Jane
It’s probably about time that the once infamous “Hanoi Jane” Fonda gain an additional moniker of “Climate Crisis Jane”. Especially now that the two-time Academy Award and seven-time Golden Globe winner actress has been arrested not once but twice over her supposed climate crisis.
Fonda’s arrest was captured and tweeted for all of the world to see. The actress, yet again, wanted to get arrested.

At least Fonda, age 81, is no stranger to a jail cell. However, her depth of understanding on issues and facts remains shallow.
Before her second arrest, Fonda praised socialist Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal in an apt Che Guevara-esque beret.
Jane Fonda praises proposed Green New Deal to address climate change.

“This will be a huge, disruptive, super-ambitious undertaking,” Fonda said. “And yes, it’s going to cost a whole lot of money. But the cost of inaction is even huger.”
“We have to be sure that the crisis that is climate change remains front and center like a ticking time bomb. We don’t have very much time, and it’s really urgent,” she said in another interview.

The Green New Deal
The Green New Deal, as proposed by freshman New York Democratic Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, is a behemoth in government spending.
According to the Aspen Institute, on the low end, it would cost $52 trillion over 10 years. The high end is $93 trillion over the same period.
Here’s a few things Bernie forgot to mention about the Green New Deal:
▶️ Cost an estimated $93 trillion
▶️ Raise the average houeshold utility bill by $3,900
▶️ Infrastructure cost alone would be $5.7 trillion— Zach Parkinson (@AZachParkinson) October 16, 2019
That a millionaire celebrity octagenarian has no problem with it, says a lot. Fonda won’t be around for the fallout of either the Green New Deal or her end-of-days “climate crisis”.
But while Jane Fonda can be called many things, “wise” has never been one of them.

More Arrests In Jane Fonda’s Future?
If you’re a betting individual, put your money down on this not being the last time Jane Fonda gets arrested.
In a recent interview, she announced she plans on protesting often. For 13 Fridays in a row to be exact.

“It’ll be called ‘Fire Drill Friday.’ And we’re going to engage in civil disobedience and we’re going to get arrested every Friday,” she declared.
“I’m going to take my body, which is kind of famous and popular right now because of the [“Grace and Frankie”] series and I’m going to go to D.C. and I’m going to have a rally every Friday,” she said.
My Take
I’d say there’s a downside to retirement, but as Jane Fonda mentions, she’s still a working actress.
But who knows. Perhaps Fonda’s goal is to accumulate more arrests than acting awards before she sheds her mortal coil.
If arrest are the best way an 81-year-old can help future generations, I’m sure local law enforcement is more than willing to oblige.
