Gisele Bündchen Dating Old Friend Of Ex-Husband Tom Brady

Just five months after her divorce from the NFL star Tom Brady was finalized, the supermodel Gisele Bündchen is allegedly dating one of his old friends.

Sources have alleged to Daily Mail that Gisele, 42, is dating the billionaire hotel magnate Jeffrey Soffer, who is an old friend of Brady’s and the former husband of Australian supermodel Elle Macpherson. In recent weeks, Gisele and Jeffrey have been seen horseback riding and dining with the two children she shares with Tom, Benjamin, 13, and Vivian, 10. 

“Gisele has been spending time with Jeffrey Soffer,” a source described as a well-placed insider said. “They’ve been seeing each other for several months now and meet secretly about once a week.”

Jeffrey is a 55 year-old developer and hotelier who owns various luxury properties including Miami’s iconic Fontainebleau Hotel, and he was previously married to Elle from 2013 until they divorced in 2017. Jeffrey is worth an estimated $2.2 billion, far more than Brady’s estimated net worth of $512 million.

Tom And Jeffrey’s Friendship

Sources say that Tom and Jeffrey have been friends for years, and they were spotted together as recently as January. In May of last year, the two men were seen attending an NBA game with the sports broadcaster, Jim Gray and Tom’s sister, Julie, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

In 2020, Tom even brought the piece of land next to Jeffrey’s Miami mansion so that he could build his “forever home” with Gisele on it. Tom got the home in the divorce, so Jeffrey is still his neighbor at this time. 

Tom and Gisele were married from 2009 until their divorce was finalized on October 28 of last year.

“In recent days, my wife and I finalized our divorce from one another after 13 years of marriage,” Tom said at the time. “We arrived at this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together.”

Sources close to Gisele say that she’s “happy and doing really well” since the divorce, and was “focused on her kids, her health and work.”

Divorce ‘Was Not Tom’s Idea’

Tom was rumored to not want the divorce to happen, which might make it even more difficult for him to stomach that Gisele is now dating a friend of his. 

“This was not Tom’s idea,” an insider told People Magazine of the divorce. “This was never Tom’s idea.”

The source went on to say that Tom “wanted to do whatever he needed to do to fix things” with Gisele because he “didn’t want the divorce and he didn’t want the marriage to end.”

Tom was “willing to go to therapy, marriage counseling — whatever it took to make things work,” according to the source, who added that the NFL star “didn’t want the kids to have divorced parents; he wanted to work this out.”

While Tom “was trying to make things work, and to make things right” during the period “near the end” of the marriage, Gisele felt that “it was a little bit too little, too late.”

Gisele is of course a free single woman who can date however she pleases. However, it doesn’t seem like Jeffrey is that good of a friend to Tom’s if he’s this quick to date his ex-wife. Whether this relationship continues to move forward or not, it might be time for Tom to find some better friends.
