Game of Thrones has reportedly issued a casting call for several actors for the widely popular series. Given the popularity of the show and the brutal nature of many of the scenes, even minor roles can really stand out. This is a tremendous opportunity for some up and coming actors to make their mark on the business and audiences.

These roles would be cast in season eight of the HBO series. Watchers on the Wall is reporting that Game of Thrones is searching for a girl and a boy to fill these spots in the upcoming season.

The girl must be about eight years old and be rather strong. It is a “very nice stand-out part for a strong-minded young girl with a fighting spirit.” Filming for whoever lands the Northern Girl role will begin the week of November 17th.

The boy actor must be physically fit and between eight and 12 years old. This character would come from a poor background and would need to “completely own the scenes that he appears in.” This appears to be more than a flash in the pan role and not simply needed for a death scene. Perhaps this character is for flashbacks to someone’s childhood. Filming for this role will occur during the last week of November and the last week of December.
