Many artists have covered Elvis’s Can’t Help Falling In Love, but a cappella quartet 7th Avenue released a version unlike any other. This performance is set in an empty warehouse, which gives the song amazing acoustics to enhance the beauty of their sound. Using only their voices, they create a gorgeous version of this beloved Elvis song.
Seventh Avenue was just formed in 2016, but there is a veteran a cappella singer in their midst. As a founder of an all male a cappella group called Home Free, Chris Rupp has been on the a cappella circuit for years. This established singer has collaborated with the likes of Kenny Rogers, the Oak Ridge Boys, and Charlie Daniels. He decided to try something new with Seventh Avenue, a group with two females vocalists.
This decision turned out to be pure gold as you will discover when you watch the video below of their a cappella cover for Can’t Help Falling in Love!
Wow! That was a performance to remember. It is so simple without instruments. Just having voices and the acoustics of the warehouse makes this cover of the Elvis classic so pure. It really highlights the beauty of the lyrics and I think The King himself would be proud.
A cappella music has been growing in popularity over the last several years. It is particularly popular at Christmastime, but we have been hearing more a cappella on the radio, too. Dolly Parton even did an a cappella performance of Jolene with Pentatonix! Even those who aren’t fans of the genre will love that one!
Share this to honor the memory of Elvis and expose your friends and family to a new take on the classic Can’t Help Falling In Love!
