Months after the death of his beloved wife Beth, Duane “Dog The Bounty Hunter” Chapman is firing back at his own daughter, “Baby Lyssa”, who claimed that he had begun dating a longtime family friend.

Dog Shuts Down Claims He’s Dating Family Friend

Radar Online reported that last month, Lyssa Chapman got into a bitter Twitter feud with longtime family friend Moon Angell after reports came out that she had begun dating her father.

Now, Dog is finally speaking out about the rumors, saying that Moon has been there for him since Beth’s death, while his children have abandoned him.

“Moon has been a trustworthy and loyal friend to me for over 20 years. She has been with my family through many ups and downs,” explained Dog, 66. “All my children are grown and gone on their own, there’s no one left to help me!”

Dog went on to say that he has no intention of replacing Beth.

“Moon is experienced. It’s just that. Who knows what my future holds, but right now I need her,” he confessed. “There will never be another Mrs. Dog but that doesn’t mean I have to be so sad.”

Dog’s Daughter Claims He’s Dating Moon Angell

This comes after Lyssa, 32, called Angell out on Twitter on December 18.

“You’re disgusting woman,” Lyssa tweeted to Angell. “Any person who moves in on a man weeks after losing his wife, who you were supposed to be a ‘friend’ to, Is the lowest scum on the planet-Which for you wasn’t that far of a step down from where you were before. God will get you MARY!!!.”

However, Dog said this week that while he has been staying busy and doesn’t want to replace Beth, he has been praying. to God to send him someone who would help him be less lonely.

“I know Almighty God hears my broken heart and I didn’t ask him for another Mrs. Chapman, but I asked him for a friend and He gave me Moon,” Dog said.

Beth Told Dog Never To Replace Her

Dog’s wife Beth tragically passed away on June 26 at the age of 51 following a two year battle with lung cancer. Dog has previously said that before her death, Beth made him promise to never replace her with another woman.

“For two to three years, she knew this might happen,” Dog told Entertainment Tonight. “So she would say, ‘Who is going to sit next to you?’ And I said, ‘No one.’” When she said, “Big Daddy, you better not let another girl take my place,” he promised, “I won’t.” After all, who could take Beth’s place when she’s still with her man? “Even though she is not physically there,” Dog said, “mentally and spiritually, she is there.”
