Texans are pulling together to help each other out as the Houston area continues taking the brunt of damage from Hurricane Harvey. They aren’t waiting on Uncle Sam to save them. Instead, they are pitching in for the rescue and relief efforts themselves.
This includes Chip and Joanna Gaines. The Fixer Upper couple is selling “Texas Forever” t-shirts with 100% of the proceeds going towards Hurricane Harvey disaster relief efforts until the end of September. It was posted on their business account’s Instagram.
The shirts quickly sold out but were restocked to take on the demand. The Gaines are putting their Christian faith into action by helping their fellow Texans.
“This undertaking is not too big for us if we are all in,” their company Instagram account said. “Let’s help restore these towns together.”
This is a great way for Chip and Joanna Gaines to use their celebrity status to help others. By wearing and selling shirts, the Gaines can help promote the relief efforts in Texas and encourage others to help out as well.
