Last summer, Chip and Joanna Gaines of “Fixer Upper” fame welcomed their fifth child, a baby boy named Crew. Eight months later, they’ve made a fan’s dream come true by giving her the SNOO Smart Sleeper bassinet that Crew has outgrown!
Fox News reported that it all started when Chip posted a photo to Instagram of Crew in the bassinet along with the caption, “Uh oh.. what happens when they outgrow the #snoo??”
“Sell it to me!!” fan Kelly Claggett commented on the post. “After 12 years my husband and I are FINALLY expecting!!”
“We’re so excited for you! Let’s get her set up,” Chip quickly responded, tagging his assistant.
The SNOO Smart Sleeper is a high tech bassinet that costs $1,300 and is designed to “improve sleep with the calming sensations of the womb.” Not only will the bassinet sleep train a baby, but it will also add 1+ hours of sleep for them every night.
Kelly had not expected Chip to even see her comment, so she was stunned when he gave her the bassinet!
“Something absolutely BANANAS happened a few weeks ago. I made an offhand comment to Chip Gains (sic) and then the rest was nothing that I ever would have expected,” she wrote on Facebook afterwards. “I do not feel worthy of any of it but like I have told the ones of you who already know.. God gets every ounce of glory in this. This is just his way of saying I SEE YOU AND I LOVE YOU!”
Kelly later posted a photo of herself and her husband standing in front of the SNOO Smart Sleeper after the Gaines family sent it to them.
“Our baby and family is blessed by this random act of kindness and I’ll never stop trying to pay it forward,” Kelly wrote.
This just goes to show how kind and generous the Gaines family really is. Oftentimes, television stars aren’t as kind in real life as they appear on TV, so it’s nice to see that Chip and Joanna are truly good people offscreen!
