Rob Riggle is an American actor most known for his work as a correspondent on Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” and as a cast member on “Saturday Night Live.” In addition, Riggle has appeared in multiple films such as The Hangover, The Other Guys, and 21 Jump Street. Prior to his career as an actor, Riggle had a career in the military.

Riggle joined the Marines in 1990 after he received his pilot license. Although Riggle initially wanted to be a Naval Aviator, he left flight school in order to pursue his career in comedy. Riggle was a member of the United States Marine Corps and was a public affairs officer with a New York City unit. While in the Reserves, Riggle served in Liberia, Kosovo, Albania, and Afghanistan, reaching the rank of lieutenant colonel. Riggle retired from the Marine Corps Reserves on January 1, 2013, after 23 years of service.
