Brad Pitt reportedly won 50/50 custody of his five minor children with Angelina Jolie. The pair have been battling it out in court for years. Now, Brad just scored a major victory.
Judge John Ouderkirk reached a tentative decision, but TMZ is reporting that this is just a formality before it is finalized.
Pitt is reportedly “over the moon” over this ruling.
He has been wanting more time with his children. However, Maddox is an adult and is not subject to this ruling.
Ouderkirk listened to months of testimony. And, Children Services professionals who met with the Pitt-Jolie children briefed the court on the matter.
“There was a significant change made in the custody agreements based on an extremely detailed decision made by the judge,” an insider said about the sealed case. “Brad was just trying to have more time with his kids — and it has been clear that Angie has done everything possible to prevent this.”

“This trial lasted for several months and there were a f–k ton of witnesses, experts, therapists and other people who have been with the kids and around them, and the decision was based on this,” the source continued.
Brad And Angelina Married By Judge Overseeing Their Divorce
Pitt, 57, and Jolie, 45, were one of Hollywood’s most high-profile couples for 12 years. They had been married for two years when Jolie filed for divorce.
Now, Jolie is attempting to get Judge Ouderkirk disqualified because in an ironic twist Ouderkirk, who is a private judge for this case, officiated their wedding.
Jolie filed an appellate case to get the judge’s ruling tossed. The appellate court has not yet ruled on Jolie’s appeal.

“Judge Ouderkirk denied Ms. Jolie a fair trial, improperly excluding her evidence relevant to the children’s health, safety, and welfare, evidence critical to making her case,” a filing in California’s Second District Court of Appeal states.

Angelina Jolie is reportedly upset that the judge did not allow the children to testify in the custody case. Maddox reportedly did give testimony about his father.
As you know, divorces can be contentious with children often stuck in the middle feeling they need to chose sides, particularly if one parent is alienating the other.
No Charges Filed
It was alleged that Pitt was abusive towards the couple’s oldest son Maddox on a flight when he was 15 years old. However, investigations were closed with no charges being filed against Pitt

At that time, a source told ET that, “Brad is anxious to get custody worked out so that the family can finally move on,” adding that the actor was “heartbroken” by the claim. “He just wants to spend time with his children and move in a positive direction. His priority has always been his relationship with his children.”
Now, Brad Pitt will gain partial custody of his minor children, providing the tentative agreement gets finalized.
