Little People, Big World fans have been clamoring for more pictures of the newest Roloff, baby Ember. Jeremy and Audrey Roloff’s daughter was born on September 10th and we haven’t seen pictures since the announcement, but there is a reason why.

Audrey is suffering from a breast infection. The new mother has developed mastitis. According to the Mayo Clinic, “mastitis is an infection of the breast tissue that results in breast pain, swelling, warmth, and redness. You also might have fever and chills. Mastitis most commonly affects women who are breastfeeding (lactation mastitis), although sometimes this condition can occur in women who aren’t breastfeeding.”

Mastitis can make a new mother feel very run down, causing difficulty in caring for a newborn. Audrey posted about this in her Instagram stories. Stories disappear in 24 hours, but screenshots are below.

Mastitis is incredibly painful. Audrey could certainly use some prayers and good thoughts as she battles this and works towards continuing to breastfeed Ember.
