Have you ever watched a trailer for a movie but then go see the movie and it turns out to be completely different than what the trailer is? It is pretty common and a minor pet peeve of mine. Especially if you’re expecting a star to be in a movie but it turns out they are only in one scene or cut altogether. The latter happened to actress Ana de Armas in the 2019 film Yesterday.
Armas was featured in the trailer before being cut entirely from the movie. Well, two film fans were not fans of that and they’ve taken their complaints about it to court.
Via Fox:
According to the complaint, which was obtained by Fox News Digital, Conor Woulfe, 38, of Maryland, and Peter Michael Rosza, 44, of San Diego County, Calif. filed a class action complaint in the United States District Court of Central California against Universal. After they spent $3.99 each to rent the movie on Amazon Prime, they were upset to discover that the actress’ part had been cut out of the movie.
The fans are suing Universal Pictures for $5 million claiming they used de Armas’ “fame, radiance and brilliance to promote the film by including her in scenes in the movie trailers advertising Yesterday.” She was supposed to have been another love interest for the lead in Yesterday, but her scenes were cut from the final.
De Armas recently appeared in the latest James Bond film No Time To Die.
Now, how do you get $5 million from that? Seems to me like these fellas are just looking for a quick payday. Or maybe, in my opinion, they are just insane. Who gets this worked up over a movie?
Don’t Worry Ana de Armas Will Be In Plenty Of Movies
This is what the kids call “simp” behavior.
Now, don’t get me wrong, Ana de Armas is one of the most beautiful women in the world. She is almost unbelievably attractive.
If you told me that she was the perfect creation made by an algorithm designed to manifest the prettiest woman in the world, I would go “Dang they finally did it.”
Saying all that, if I learned she got cut out of a movie, the worst I would say is “wow that sucks” and then go see one of the many other movies she is going to be in from now and forever.
What I am more concerned about is the fact that the thriller she made with Ben Affleck might never see the light of day because he and de Armas broke up.

Got a feeling that Disney is gonna make the same move they did for The Woman In The Window & sell Deep Water to Netflix & I feel so bad for Ana De Armas as this movie & Blonde been delayed! I’m glad she avoids a press tour with her ex Ben Affleck! Death On The Nile could be next! pic.twitter.com/A9G0VjL4gf

She has a busy year ahead, she is also set to star as Marilyn Monroe in a new film about the famous blonde’s life called, appropriately Blonde.
