Nightbirde Dies – Tributes Pour In

Daily Mail reported that Nightbirde, whose real name was Jane Marczewski, died six months after her cancer progressed to the point where she had to drop out of “America’s Got Talent.” She had been considered a frontrunner in the competition prior to her dropping out.

Nightbirde blew the judges away in her audition, when she performed her original song “It’s Okay” and earned a Golden Buzzer. You can check out that unforgettable audition in the video below.

“America’s Got Talent” judge Howie Mandel paid tribute to Nightbirde after her death was announced, saying that she was “such a bright inspirational light in all our lives.”

“We must continue to live and learn from her words and lyrics,” Mandel continued. “As much as I feel horribly about her passing I feel lucky to to have met, heard and known her.”

Terry Crews, who hosts the NBC reality television show, also honored Nightbirde after her passing.

“We are saddened to learn about @_nightbirde‘s Passing,” he tweeted. “Our Condolences goes to her Closest Family & Friends in such of This difficult time. We Love you, Nightbirde.”

She touched so many lives.

Nightbirde’s Cancer Battle

Nightbirde was first diagnosed with breast cancer back in 2017, and while she was initially able to beat it, the cancer eventually came back with a vengeance. In 2019, doctors gave her a two percent survival rate and told her that she only had three to six months to live. But, she was able to beat the odds and defeat the cancer for a second time.

Sadly, Nightbirde’s cancer returned for a third time last year, and this time it took her life.

Back in August, after she was forced to drop out of “America’s Got Talent,” Nightbirde said that her liver was “more cancer than liver” at that point. She added that she had been having a “bad, bad month” since learning that she would not be able to beat the cancer this time.

Check out that interview in the video below. She says, “it’s a lot to process, the highest highs and the lowest lows in my life are happening at the same time.

Nightbirde’s Sister Praises Her

Nightbirde’s sister Katelyn Marczewski took to social media to praise the singer for creating a “legacy of hope, strength, and victory.”

“Everything else – the fame, the money, the ‘success’ – all of the things that people strive for – stayed behind, leaving the rest of us with the legacy she created,” she stated. “A legacy of hope, strength, and victory. Yes, Jane is victorious because she no longer feels the sting of death that taunted her for so long.”

Marczewski went on to say that she believes Nightbirde was “healed. Her pain has been taken away. She is singing beautifully right now with no tumors in her lungs.”

“Every moment of Jane’s life gave testimony to the goodness of God, and her death reflects that even more,” she added. “God is glorified through her story, and her death is an opportunity to show God’s glory. She is in Heaven with Jesus Christ. And that, my friends, is very good news.”

While Nightbirde was taken from us far too soon, we are confident that she is in a better place now, and that she has found eternal peace. God bless you, Nightbirde, and may you rest in peace.
