Alyssa Milano Humiliates Herself With Dumb Comment About The Constitution

Liberal actress Alyssa Milano has taken a brief reprieve from pushing gun control to advocate for putting women in the Constitution.

There’s just one problem: women are already in the Constitution.

Milano was attempting to call on Congress to ratify the long-stalled Equal Rights Amendment (ERA), which would ensure greater constitutional protections for women. However, her poorly worded picket sign and accompanying tweet instead implied that women aren’t in the Constitution – which further implied that women aren’t people.

Yikes. Unsurprisingly, Twitter was swift to school Milano on her moronic mistake.

Does Milano believe that the forefathers of our country didn’t have their wives, daughters, and all American women in mind when they sat down to pen the Constitution? Or does she think that women are somehow above “people” in general? Modern feminists believe women should be placed well above men, so it wouldn’t be surprising if she prescribes to the latter sentiment.

However, even if you agree with Milano’s asinine statement, women specifically have been in the Constitution since 1919, when they were granted the right to vote under the Nineteenth Amendment. Here’s the text of the amendment, to avoid any confusion:

The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.

Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

Unfortunately, what liberals like Milano don’t seem to understand is that being an American is not based on sex, gender, color, creed, or ability. But liberals would love to make it that way, because “identity politics” is the name of their game. Without it, they don’t know how to define anyone – because simply being a person isn’t enough.
