Former “Who’s The Boss” star Alyssa Milano took a break from her “Defund The Police” activism to call 911 when she needed help this week. Her call drew a massive police presence to Milano’s quiet upscale gated community just outside of LA.

Alyssa Milano Runs Straight To The Police, Dials 911

Daily Mail reported the Hollywood actress turned activist called 911 saying there was an armed gunman on her property in Bell Canyon, California.

Police immediately leapt to action to protect the Hollywood elite, sending in “seven Ventura County Sheriffs’ vehicles, one K-9 unit, a police helicopter and one Los Angeles Fire Department team.”

The officers descended on Milano’s “five bed, six bath, 8,000 square foot, $2.5 million home” in the ritzy gated community that is located 20 minutes from Los Angeles.

“We first noticed the helicopter circling overhead very low and knew something was going on, it’s usually such a quiet community,” a neighbor recalled afterwards. “Then we saw all the police cars parked in front of Alyssa’s home. They had their guns at the ready and seemed very serious.”

Residents Dub Alyssa Milano’s Police Raid “Squirrelgate”

In the end, however, the “gunman” turned out to be a teenager who was shooting squirrels with an air gun.

Reportedly, Alyssa Milano called police after hearing gunshots. And the actress described the suspected “gunman” as being a “male, 40-years old, with long rifle.”

The search lasted three hours, and ended in humiliation for Milano when the truth behind the “gunman” was finally revealed.

That must be one burly, mature teenager. What a waste of police resources and taxpayer dollars. Just imagine the fuel costs of that helicopter alone!?

“It turned out it was a neighborhood teen with an air gun shooting at squirrel,” a local resident said.

Officers later met with local residents at the Bell Canyon community center to give them more details on what they are now calling “Squirrelgate.”

Alyssa Milano Has Fought To Defund The Police For Months

If you ask me, Milano was awfully quick to call the police for someone who spent the entire summer trying to defund them.

In July, the “Charmed” star called on her millions of followers to sign the “People’s Budget L.A.,” which is fighting for a 90 percent reduction in police funding.

“What is the Los Angeles Police Protective League?” she tweeted. “@LAPPL is a narrow special interest group that lobbies our politicians to protect the LAPD budget, pension + officers. But electeds (sic) need to #ProtectPeopleNot Police. Sign the #People’sBudgetLA petition..”

One month later, Milano simply tweeted, “#DefundThePolice.”

Being anti-police was all fun and games for Milano when she could tweet about defunding them from the safety of her multi-million dollar home in a gated community, like she did here:

But that went straight out the window as soon as she thought danger had appeared on her own doorstep.

Who were the first people Milano thought to call when that happened? The police, of course!

Will She Learn From This?

Perhaps Milano will realize now why so many of us are against defunding the police.

Some of us don’t have the luxury of living in gate communities.

We depend on the police to keep us and our neighborhoods safe. We also understand that they are the ones who willingly step in the face of danger to protect the rest of us.

That’s why we fight tooth and nail for police to be given the respect they deserve.

While it would be nice if Milano learned this lesson, it’s more than likely to go over her head.

You can expect Alyssa Milano to return to her regularly scheduled “defund the police” programming in the next few days.
