Melissa Joan Hart of “Sabrina The Teenage Witch” fame made history on Sunday night when she became the first $1 million winner on “Celebrity Wheel Of Fortune.”

Hart Makes History With Victory

Hart, 45, won the money for the charity Youth Villages after defeating Tituss Burgess and Lacey Chabert. Check out her winning moment for yourself below.

“Vanna White’s face turned white,” Hart told USA Today of her winning moment. “Vanna looked at me and was like, ‘You got it! You got it!’ I hit the roof. She hit the roof.”

“It was super exciting and pretty nerve-wracking; I rarely win game shows,” added Hart, who previously lost a legendary “Celebrity Jeopardy” match to Fred Savage in 1998.

Was Witchcraft Involved?

Hart also thinks it may not be a coincidence that this happened as she was celebrating her 1996 breakout appearance on ABC’s “Sabrina.”

“I would like to say witchcraft was involved,” said Hart. “But to be honest, I prayed a lot more than any kind of sorcery. I literally prayed every round, especially that winning round. I’d close my eyes and say, ‘God, give me focus and calm and let me just read these letters.'”

Winning the game was no easy task, as Hart’s long-time friend Chabert solved the show’s first puzzle without any clues.

“Lacey is a ‘Wheel of Fortune’ shark,” said Hart. “In the first round, she was killing it. I just couldn’t see the words as fast as she could.”

However, Hart had been training for weeks to prepare herself for the game show appearance.

“I wasn’t going to go in there blind; I’m a prepared person,” she explained, saying that she would watch “Wheel Of Fortune” and play along while putting her 9-year-old son to bed each night.

Hart Celebrates Her Win

Hart was so happy about her win that she even asked producers if she could take the $1 million winner card home with her as a souvenir.

“They had to ask the prop people, ‘Can we make more of these?’ ” said Hart. “So not only did I win the million, I stole the million-dollar card.”

Hart said she’s keeping the card in her Nashville, Tennessee, home office along with her show nametag and a sprinkling of winning confetti. For weeks, she’d even kept her victory a secret from her charity Youth Villages, which was just as ecstatic about her win as she was.

“I didn’t leak it,” says Hart. “I was like, ‘Guys, you’ll have to watch me on ‘Wheel of Fortune.’ It’s going to be epic.'”
