Tyler Perry is the creator of TLC’s “Too Close To Home.” It’s the first scripted show for the network and it’s getting criticism – but not for the reason you might think.

Perry is getting backlash for casting too many white actors in the series. TMZ asked him about the criticism and Perry was rather emphatic that it was a bunch of crap.

“That’s so ridiculous, man. People are people.” Perry said. “If you write the story about a woman and man who’s having pain and issues and trying to get over things, it’s the same way for a white person for a black person or for anybody else. People are people, man. People need to let all that go,” Tyler said.

Watch the video below to see him react to this faux outrage.

I completely agree with him. Why does everything have to come down to race in this hyper charged Obama era? I remember the days when you didn’t look at people for the color of their skin, but rather the content of their character! Why are we moving backwards?!

You can see a preview of the show below. I might have to watch it now to support Tyler’s stance on casting actors for their talent rather than their skin color.

What do you think of this racist knee jerk reaction from the politically correct crowd? Aren’t we all tired of being called racists?

Please share this if you see people for who they are rather than what color their skin is!
