WWE is impressed with Zoey Stark and she could be joining the main roster shortly. Also, the latest on Barry Windham after his heart attack.

Zoey Stark To The Main Roster?

WWE has no problem signing talent from another company or those with no pro wrestling experience. Typically, they have the person work a bit in NXT before calling them to the main roster.

The name can debut at anytime, but WWE is known to bring up a bunch of NXT wrestlers right after WrestleMania. So, that process should continue after WrestleMania 39 concludes in early April.

Of course, WWE is yet to confirm which wrestlers will be bumped to the major leagues. According to PWInsider, Zoey Stark has impressed the company and could soon join RAW or SmackDown’s roster.

Already, the 29 year old has competed on Main Event. Usually, that is strong indication that WWE is debating make them a regular on one of the two top brands.

For the most part, Stark has called NXT home. She worked on the indy scene between 2012 and 2022, but had large chucks of time off.

After signing with WWE, she was regularly featured on NXT. She even claimed the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship with IO SKY.

Injury Was A Minor Setback For Zoey Stark

Unfortunately, she suffered a torn MCL/Meniscus and missed about seven months of action. She returned as a face and was quickly shifted into the NXT Women’s Championship scene.

Stark did not win and then turned heel for the first time by attacking her former friend, Nikkita Lyons. They briefly feuded before Lyons suffered her own injury and will be out around a year.

Fans did get to see Stark as a participant in the Women’s Royal Rumble Match, last month. She was impressive by entering at number 13 and lasting over 26 minutes.

Since that match, Stark has remained close to the NXT Women’s Championship. She feels others are given an opportunity she deserves, so we will see where the storyline goes.

If WWE does have plans for Stark and the main event, she could be exiting NXT very shortly. Basically, WWE likes their NXT wrestlers to lose before hitting the main roster.

Barry Windham Health Update

Zoey Stark Main Roster

In December, WWE Hall of Famer Barry Windham suffered a heart attack. He was walking through an Atlanta airport at the time and they saved his life as he went into cardiac arrest.

On the ARN podcast, his friend and fellow Four Horsemen, Arn Anderson provided an update.

“Getting it third party that he is is making his way back slowly,” said Anderson. “He’s hopefully going to be much, much better as time goes by.”

“It was a really, really bad scare. I know that it scared the s—out of all of us as soon as we heard it.”

“It was a very, very close call. I think he’s getting a little bit better along. I don’t think he’s in a position [where] he can travel or anything like that yet.”

“A lot of thought has went into Barry Windham and his condition. You know, a lot of prayers, and we appreciate that coming from everybody.”

“I know the family does. Hopefully, Barry will be up and around before we know it.”

For those unaware, wrestling runs throughout the Windham family. His father was the legendary tough Blackjack Mulligan and his brother-in-law is IRS.

His nephews are current WWE superstars Bo Dallas and Bray Wyatt.

From everyone at Wrestle Newz, we wish Barry Windham nothing but the best in his recovery.
