Since the WWE stage at WrestleMania cost an estimated $5 million, it is no surprise rumors are circulating about WWE Superstars who might be released from their contract. So, let us look at those superstars who are most likely going to hear “You’re fired”!
Titus O’Neil
Several websites have mentioned Titus O’Neil as a possibility. Since the incident with Vince McMahon last year, the superstar has been jobbing for the WWE. He hasn’t had any big storylines within the WWE and his contract is expiring soon.
The only reason why they might keep Titus O’Neil on is his charity work. O’Neil regularly appears at charitable events on behalf of WWE. However, if the Vince McMahon incident still plays a factor, then he will likely lose his contract.
Summer Rae
Summer Rae has been lost in translation since she came to the main roster. Her biggest role was as a manager/valet, but she has made no big impact on the women’s division. She is also still out with an injury, leaving her with an uncertain future.
Reports indicate that the WWE has lost interest and faith in Summer Rae. There are too many valets and managers already, so she is seen as a wasted spot on the roster. Therefore, I believe she might fall victim to the WWE spring clean.
Sin Cara
Sin Cara is an interesting wrestler to watch and the WWE could be doing a lot more with him than they are at the moment. However, his wrestling abilities and charisma is not the reason why he is rumored to get fired.
The real problem with Sin Cara is his attitude problem. The WWE superstar tends to get in backstage fights with other superstars including Simon Gotch and Chris Jericho last year. While he was forced to attend anger management classes, the WWE seems to be letting the hype for Sin Cara die. Therefore, I believe this superstar is also on the chopping block.
The Shining Stars
While I always loved Primo and Epico, even during their Los Matadores stint, it seems like the Shining Stars are up for the chopping block. The tag team has serious problems connecting with the WWE Universe and this certainly caught the attention of WWE management.
In my opinion, these guys have not been given the exposure to make their gimmick great. Yes, we had a couple of promo’s before they changed to the Shining Stars, but not much ring action to make us feel anything for them. In short, these guys are not to blame — poor booking and WWE creative are responsible.
Dolph Ziggler
The biggest name I keep coming across is Dolph Ziggler. I’m not a big fan of the guy, because personally I believe he is a less interesting copy of Shawn Michaels. Unfortunately, the poor booking and abysmal storylines Ziggler has been involved in could be costing him a job.
Like Titus O’Neil, Ziggler is quite involved with the charity aspect of WWE. Therefore, it could be likely they keep him on until they figure out what to do with him. I believe Ziggler can be more than what he is giving us. I hope he gets another shot instead of the sack.
Who else do you think might be on the chopping block?
