When it was announced Paul Felder was stepping on short notice to battle Rafael dos Anjos at UFC Vegas 14, he said making weight wouldn’t be a problem. Well, while we don’t know exactly how the cut went for Felder, ‘The Irish Dragon’ did make weight.
Felder and dos Anjos hit their marks
Just a few days go, Felder buzzed many folks throughout MMA by agreeing to face dos Anjos on Saturday. It wasn’t so much the fact that Felder stepped up on short notice; it was more so because he agreed to fight RDA at lightweight and in a five-round fight (following the withdrawal of Islam Makhachev).
Well, at the weigh-ins earlier today, Felder tipped the scales at 155.75 pounds and RDA was 156.
It should also be noted that dos Anjos is fighting at lightweight for the first time since 2016. In recent years the former lightweight champ has been competing at welterweight.
