As all of America is reeling from the outbreak of the Omicron variant of the COVID-19 virus, WWE is not immune. Breaking minutes before the start of the Day 1 PPV, Universial champion Roman Reigns announced that he tested positive for COVID and, as such, will have to pull out of his title match with Brock Lesnar.
I yearn to perform tonight at #WWEDay1 to defend my Universal Championship. However, unfortunately, earlier today I tested positive for COVID-19. Due to the proper protocols I am unable to compete as originally scheduled. I look forward to returning to action as soon as possible.

This situation is genuine and not a storyline.
Let’s see how many dumb people are going to say this is a work,
WWE could really turn this around tho “brock doesn’t have an opponent, who will face him?”
*Cue lashley music* the almighty comes to dominate,
Or, lesnar attacks lashley, insert him into the wwe title. And win.

But fear not, Brock Lesnar is still in the show, as he is now in the WWE title match.

Roman Reigns’ Health
There’s no word yet on what symptoms, if any, Roman is showing. Reigns, of course, missed the first half of 2020 inside the ThunderDome due to COVID. Reigns has had several battles with Leukemia and, as such, has a possibly compromised immune system.
We wish Roman a speedy recovery and hope he is back in the ring soon.
