Human trailer park meth lab Mike Perry is pretty much every stereotype about MMA fighters you can think of. Which is fine when it comes to being a worthwhile source of violence inside the cage, but not so much when it comes to his antics outside of the cage.
Perry, you see, is facing Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 139. And since he’s facing a cowboy… that’s right, Perry thought it would be amusing to dress up as an Indian.
I support the legendary Native American warriors and I am tirelessly hunting this @cowboycerrone for his crimes of defamation ! I will catch him across state lines in Denver Colorado, November 10th for alll the people of the world to see the battle between #Cowboy vs #Platinum pic.twitter.com/xFdNY8abbL

Now, as a full-fledged member of the Sioux tribe (seriously, no lie), none of this stuff bothers me. The Washington Redskins’ team image doesn’t bother me, being called Indian while not being from India doesn’t bother me, and Perry’s schtick doesn’t bother me.
But some people are really offended. Like Deadspin!
UFC welterweight Mike Perry—a walking, talking Florida Man caricature—is at it again. Perry is scheduled to fight Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone in a few weeks, and in a supremely misguided effort to promote the fight, Perry made a minute-long Twitter promo video so full of idiotic racist tropes that it would make Chief Wahoo blush.
