Jeff Hardy’s Contract Frozen Due To Injuries And Legal Battles
While Matt Hardy’s days in the WWE are possibly numbered, the case is not the same for his brother, Jeff.
While the WWE signed both Hardy Boyz at the same time, Jeff’s contract is currently frozen due to an injury. Matt, meanwhile, will see his deal come to an end in early 2020.

Jeff Hardy was scheduled to return from a knee injury in early November, but legal issues from a DUI arrest have kept him on the sidelines. With one more court date set according to a report by Fightful, Jeff’s future appears locked up by the WWE.
That has allowed the WWE to automatically extended his contract, leaving one-half of the Hardy Boyz under control of WWE creative.
The WWE continues to use the Matt Hardy name, even asking fans for their favorite memories.

Stephanie McMahon Pushing For CM Punk And AJ Lee Back In WWE
Even though some have spoken out against the return of CM Punk to WWE television, the former WWE champion has the support of one key member of the McMahon team.
In an interview with The Metro, Stephanie McMahon, the WWE Chief Brand Officer, noted that she would love to see AJ Lee – the wife of Punk – make a return to the WWE squared circle.
Stephanie McMahon’s Comments
“I think Punk’s been pretty vocal that he’s not interested in an in-ring return right now,” McMahon said. “But for sure, that would be interesting. And I would love to see AJ Lee back in the women’s division. I think AJ Lee was an incredibly compelling character.”
“You know, I’m a big fan of AJ Lee’s. I really am. Some of our most interesting and intriguing storylines were with AJ, and I think she deserves as much credit as every other woman on our roster.”
Stephanie McMahon says she’s a ‘huge fan’ of AJ Lee and would love to see her back in a WWE ring. She also says it would be ‘interesting’ to see CM Punk back in a WWE ring, but she doesn’t believe he’s interested right now.

McMahon and Lee had an interesting exchange a few years back regarding equal pay for the female wrestlers. Vince McMahon even joined in on the social media discussion. Since then, women have been featured in a much better and more deserving light.
With #WWEEvolution around the corner, never forget who started it. They removed her from record books, they ignore this too, but AJ Lee was the first woman to call out WWE and Stephanie McMahon on their Hypocrisy towards women performers. Punk has made a handful of appearances on WWE Backstage, but Lee has yet to do the same.
